“An Ode to Africa“
Norval Foundation and Kat van Duinen were set to unveil a new chapter in their collaborative saga. The 2024 Fashion Show aptly titled: "An Ode to Africa" celebrated Kat van Duinen's unwavering affection for the continent.
This year, the collaboration invited viewers to traverse the luxurious landscapes crafted from the continent's most treasured materials. Attendees were taken on a sensorial journey through the realms of opulent mohair, merino wool, ethereal ostrich feathers, and the most exotic of leather skins.
Each element in "An Ode to Africa" promised to redefine an idea of luxury through a uniquely African lens, offering a fresh narrative that champions the continent's unparalleled contributions to fashion and design.
We partnered with the Cape Town City Ballet to deliver a mesmerising show that combined traditional techniques with innovative interpretations, reflecting both the rich heritage and the vibrant, evolving culture of South Africa. After the show guests were welcomed to an exclusive after-party, courtesy of Grub & Vine.
